This was back at my old school were the teachers would give out detentions for everything. It was my 3rd period for “B” day and I had science with Ms. Bell. My friends Julian and Cameron kept playing around. Ms. Bell said , “Whoever is laughing stop it or I’ll write you up! ” . The two continued and Ms. Bell was furious. “Everybody has detention ,  get them slips and fill them out , think I’m playin with yall!” We were all angry because it was only two students fooling around not the whole class. Justyn gave Ms. Bell attitude and just like that she write him up. I served the detention but some didn’t and got away with it. My reading teacher Mr. Johnson got me , Clarissa , Nayeli , and Mauricio out so we can complete the M.O.Y exam.

Adrian was looking forward to traveling the downtown area. He planned on going with his friend Kristen Maddox. As they noticed only a few people were there. Kristen went to get water as she felt dehydrated. Adrian was waiting when he heard Kristem scream. “Everyone is fading away!” , “What do you mean?” , ” I was getting water and the man uh what’s his name … Aiden , Aiden! Aiden just…he just vanished!” , ” Maybe it was Valma Dodson’s death!” , ” Remember she disappeared like she faded away on Halloween in 1957?” , ” We gotta get out of here!” , ” Let’s go!” Adrian and Kristen run away from  downtown.

October 30 , 1987.

“Caleb , lets go swimming later. ” ,  ” No , lets go swimming!” ,  “I just said that. ” ,  ” I know.” Both chuckle. ” But wait , tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of my brothers death , well my parent won’t be here so…okay. ”

October 31 , 1987

Kristen had worn a white shirt and shorts and Caleb did to!  All day they swam in the water ,  Caleb kept saying flame all day as well. Caleb and Kristen had returned home later on .

November 1 , 1987

” Yes mother I celebrated why wouldn’t I ?” ” Okay bye. ” ” Bye.” Kristen looked at her brothers pictured and left the smiling knowing he is in a better place.
